Electric Fireplace Changeout

Here was a fun project!

Homeowner was having cold air come in around the fireplace. Cold air down draft into the home is VERY common on outside wall fireplaces. All the more so with prefab or factory built fireplaces like this one.

The chimney is built of wood framing and siding and betides the flue running up it, its completely hollow. Cold air sinks and hot air rises, so all that negative space around the flue sinks down the chimney chase around the flue pipe and hits the top of the fireplace creating a very cold area in front of the fireplace.

Many homeowners want this issue solved, but also want to have a fireplace that’s EASY to use! Many don’t like burning wood or burning gas. A great alternative is ELECTRIC!

Electric fireplaces are maintenance free and provide excellent heating as well as have stunning aesthetics.

This homeowner wanted a modern look of a glass media fireplace instead of the traditional wood look.
