This fireplace transformation took a dated, bulky stone masonry structure and gave it a sleek, modern update that’s both functional and stylish. The original unit featured heavy tan stone and a traditional open hearth that felt closed-in and outdated.

In the remodel, the entire surround was replaced with fresh stacked stone in cool, neutral tones, perfectly complementing the new clean-face fireplace insert for a much more polished and efficient look. A custom-built mantel with clean, craftsman-style lines now frames the firebox beautifully, while the addition of shiplap above the mantel not only brightens the space but also provides the perfect backdrop for a recessed TV mount, making the entire setup feel intentional and modern.
