Inspections
We offer a level 2, CSIA certified inspections. During a Level 2 chimney inspection, the chimney technician will inspect all accessible portions of the interior and exterior fireplace and chimney. They will check for signs of damage or deterioration that could affect fireplace function or safety.
We also use a closed circuit camera to inspect the difficult to reach portions of the flue. This ensures that there is no hidden damage or safety issues lurking around.
Cleanings / Sweepings
Cleaning should be done annually as a safety precaution. Did you know that the leading cause of home heating fires is failure to clean chimneys? According to the National Fire Protection Association states that a significant portion of those fires can be avoided by a yearly chimney sweep.
Repairs
Chimney repair covers the chimney in its entirety – structure, safety, aesthetics, etc. Here are some signs you need repairs done;
- You see Brick chips on the ground or on your roof.
- You noticed water in your fire box or you hear water trickle near your chimney.
- You notice cracks in any masonry head or bed joints.
- Flue fire -You notice a discoloration or a darkening of your chimney brick or mortar joints.
- A Chimney Sweep informs you that your chimney needs attention during inspection.
