Service Areas

Topeka is home base for Certified Fireplace & Chimney, and it’s where we do most of our work. From the Victorian chimneys of Potwin Place to newer builds out toward Sherwood and the west side, we handle sweeps, masonry repair, and full fireplace remodels across Shawnee County — usually with same-week scheduling.

We’re in Lawrence weekly, about twenty-five minutes east of our Topeka shop. Between the 19th-century homes in Old West Lawrence and the rental properties around Oread and KU, we handle everything from landlord safety inspections to full masonry rebuilds and fireplace remodels.

The Little Apple sits about an hour west of Topeka, and we make the trip regularly. Between Flint Hills limestone construction, exposed ridgeline wind, and the rental market around K-State and Aggieville, Manhattan chimneys take a beating. We sweep, repair, and remodel throughout Riley County.

We serve Wyandotte County — Strawberry Hill, Rosedale, Argentine, Piper, and the surrounding neighborhoods. KCK’s older brick homes were built with masonry chimneys that are now well past a century old, and we handle the sweeps, liner work, and repairs that keep them safe and dry.

Ten minutes east of Topeka on US-40, Tecumseh predates the state itself — and a lot of its housing shows it. We handle chimney sweeping, masonry repair, and wood stove service for the farmhouses, acreages, and river-bottom properties across east Shawnee County.

Berryton and the surrounding acreages in southeast Shawnee County are wood-heat country. We service freestanding stoves, inserts, and masonry fireplaces — sweeping, liner work, repairs, and new installs — and we’re usually there within a couple of days of your call.

Auburn is a short run southwest of Topeka, and its housing splits two ways — turn-of-the-century farmhouses with original masonry chimneys, and newer subdivision homes with factory-built fireplaces. Those need very different service. We handle both, plus full fireplace remodels.

We cover Meriden and the surrounding Jefferson County area north of Topeka. Wood heat does real work out here, and hard-burned chimneys need more than a once-a-year look. We sweep, inspect, reline, and repair — masonry and metal systems both.

Perry Lake homes and cabins are a specialty of ours. Most Ozawkie-area construction dates to the 1960s and later, which means factory-built fireplaces and metal chimneys rather than masonry — and seasonal use brings its own problems. We service the whole lake area.

Emporia’s older neighborhoods are full of Victorian-era homes with multi-flue masonry chimneys — the kind that were built for coal and wood and later had a furnace tied in. We handle sweeping, relining, and masonry restoration throughout Lyon County, on scheduled trips.
